DAVAO CITY, Nov 6 (PIA) - The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) is appealing for more aid to earthquake victims in North Cotabato and Davao del Sur.
The DCCCII and the Asia-Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management-Philippines (APAD) will be spearheading a relief distribution on November 10 in the town of Tulunan in North Cotabato and in Digos City, Davao del Sur.
"We need 2,500 packs of essential items which we would be giving to the evacuees in Digos and Tulunan," Marc Wales, executive director of the DCCCII said.
Among the items much needed by the victims include; drinking water, trapal (tarpaulin), ready-to-eat items such as biscuits and ready-to-open food packs/canned goods, hygiene kits (soap, detergent, shampoo), mosquito nets, blankets, sleeping mats.
The DCCCII and APAD along with partner organizations such as the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and several JCI chapters have provided around 2,300 relief packs to evacuees in earlier forays into Magsaysay in Davao del Sur and Makilala in North Cotabato.
For in-kind donations, donors can drop off their donations at the DCCCII office, 2nd Floor DCCCII building, JP Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao City.
