NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally on Thursday surpassed the 8-million mark, reaching 8,040,203, according to the latest data released by the federal health ministry.

SEOUL -- Four more U.S. soldiers and four other U.S. military-affiliated individuals in South Korea tested positive for COVID-19, the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) said Thursday.

HANOI -- At least 19 people died in landslides in Vietnam's central Quang Nam province, Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday.
The latest report was about a landslide that occurred in Phuoc Loc commune of Phuoc Son district in the province at around 2 p.m. local time Wednesday, where three had died and eight others remained missing as of Thursday afternoon, according to the news agency. (Vietnam-Landslides-Toll)

TOKYO -- Japan recorded 306 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, showed preliminary figures released on Thursday afternoon.
