HONG KONG, June 22 (Xinhua) -- People across Asia embraced yoga on International Yoga Day to stay healthy and rejuvenated.
Recognizing its universal appeal, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
Yoga is also playing a significant role in fighting social isolation and depression during the pandemic, as well as the psycho-social care and rehabilitation of COVID-19 patients in quarantine and isolation.
