KATHMANDU, Nepal - Dr. Narayan Khadka, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will be in China from August 9 to 11.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Affairs Minister will be in China at the invitation of State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi.
On August 10, 2022, the two Ministers will hold delegation-level bilateral talks focusing regional economic and political situation in Qingdao, China, leading their respective delegations.
Wang, China's State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will host a banquet in honor of Minister Khadka and the delegation members.
Minister Khadka plans to return to Kathmandu on August 11, 2022.
This will be Nepal's first high-level visit to China since the current Sher Bahadur Deuba administration formed in July last year.
Khadka's visit to China follows two back-to-back visits by Foreign Minister Wang and Liu Jianchao, head of the Chinese Communist Party's international department, in March and July.
